 Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has undertaken the task of IT Enablement of its commercial operations in order to create more efficient administrative and revenue generation systems. In this context, HMWSSB has selected CoOptions as the IT partner to develop the Information Strategy Plan and to establish and implement an integrated computerised information system with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Over the years HMWSSB has developed different applications for handling billing, customer grievances, payroll and financial accounting. CoOptions has proposed to replace the legacy applications with an enterprise-wide integrated solution using state-of-the-art technologies (Windows Server 2003, ASP.NET 2.0, C#). The solution has open interfaces conforming to accepted standards (Web Services) for easy integration with future IT initiatives.

The implementation of the solution is planned to be completed by January 2008.

Status: As on 15 June 2007, Business Process Study has been completed by a team of 15 Analysts and the results reviewed by the respective process champions of each module. The report is pending review by experts from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
